I am using Church and we have a blog that isn’t on the front page but is nested. In the customize there is only an option for 3 types of global layout:

    1. Content
    2. Content/Sidebar
    3. Content/Sidebar

But I want some pages to be 1., and some to be 2.. That is, I want some to be able to display the blog archives and some not to. But when I change the individual settings on the page the global setting overrides it, and there is no way not to have a global setting. To make matters more confusing, when I have the content/sidebar view on the blog, it doesn’t actually display anything in the sidebar, even though we have made posts.

I’m having the same issue with Omega (main theme). I’d like the sidebar to appear on the blog, and only on the blog, not on pages. I’m trying to figure out how all the action hooks work so I can tackle this.

The issue has been fixed. Please download the latest Omega theme or wait update notification once the WP theme repo is updated.
