    I wrote earlier and answered part of my own question, but not all of it. I got rid of the bunched sections in the header of the Church theme by deleting one of the stored menus.

    That said, despite adding it every which way, the header image that appears on the rest of the site, doesn’t appear on the designated homepage. I even redid the page, previewed (image was there) but as soon as I designate it as “home,” the image disappears when viewed in the browser. I have stuck a small picture in content of this page to match rest of the site but would really like to know how to get the uploaded header to appear like it does in the rest of the pages.

    Also, I have some sections with quite a lot of subpages. Any simple way to decrease the font size in the dropdown menu so all titles appear as readers scroll down?

    Thanks, thesecondprinciple.com

    to adjust subpages, go to “Appearance > Customize > CSS” and add this

    .omega-nav-menu .sub-menu a, .omega-nav-menu .children a {
        font-size: 13px;
        padding: 10px 20px;
    }
