Make header image and banner smaller

I am currently developing a site using the alpha child theme for omega, and I want to make the header image for the omega theme smaller as well as the banner height smaller.In the style.css file I can only find control for buffer space, but nothing for making the actual size of the banner smaller or larger. Let me know if you have insight on the topic. Thanks.

Hi, Alpha theme doesn’t have header image. What is buffer space? Please provide your site url
