thumbnails are not cropped

Hi

I’m using Omega Family theme. When I set featured images, WP is not cropping my thumbnails. Rather the thumbnails are appearing as just smaller versions of the original image ie a rectangle images becomes a smaller ractangle. I want all my thumbnails to be cropped and square shape. How do I achieve this without having to manually crop them all?

You can see a sample resized thumbnail if you go to my site at http://www.mumskidsjesus.com and click ‘Get Ideas’ in the top menu, then ‘Activities for kids’

Hi Joanna, that page and thumbanails are generated from Shortcode ultimate plugin, so it’s not Omega theme issue. Please tell the plugin author about this issue.

Thanks so much for your reply Han. Is there a way I can make a page similar to this in Family Child theme without having to use the Ultimate Shortcode plugin? eg a page with excerpts from a particular category, with thumbnails, and the ability to put extra information before the excerpts. Is this possible?

They are possible except a page with excerpts from a particular category.

Go To “Appearance > Customize > Post” to setup featured image, excerpt.
